Friday Favorites: Winter Arrived

I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea and sharing my Friday favorites of the week!

First....

all this snow.  I was able to stay home with my cutie on Monday since school was cancelled, sleep in on Tuesday with a snow delay and have tons and tons of outdoor fun playing in all the fresh powder!

Second....

these awesome snow boots.  My parents bought these for me for Christmas and I could not wait for it to snow so that I could rock them out....and I love them!

Third....

this movie.  I watched this while Matt was working late at his clinical rotation and I forgot how much I loved this movie.  It might actually be one of my favorite movies ever.  Nothing beats Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake.

Happy Friday!

Cleaning Buddy

I hate cleaning, but if I had to choose one chore, dusting would probably be my favorite and that's only because I have the absolute best cleaning buddy....

This little girl loooves to clean.  This evening I asked her if she wanted to help me dust the house and she got super excited!  She follows me around the whole time and does exactly what I do.  So stinking cute.

She's mommy's little helper and she takes her job very seriously.

Baby Registry

One of my best friends is having a baby boy in June and has been asking me all kinds of questions about what to register for so I told her I would make a list of all of my "mommy must haves".  When I was registering, I had no idea what I would need, but now I can say that half the stuff they claim you need, you don't really need.  Here are just a list of some of the things I could not have lived without.

The halo sleepsack...

I tried many, many, many swaddles and this one became my go-to!

An infant sleeper...

This one is by Summer Infant and it was perfect for her to sleep in when she was a newborn...still cannot believe she was ever this tiny!!  She had a hard time adjusting to her big crib so we put this inside of her crib for the first few months.  It was also perfect for traveling.

A baby bouncer/swing...

She was never a fan of her swing, but she loved her bouncer.

A baby bathtub...

This whale tub was the best.

The Fisher Price rock n play...

This was the greatest thing ever.  It closes up and we would take it everywhere with us (even to the pool)!

A video baby monitor...

Totally worth the extra money for piece of mind.  This one is by Summer Infant and I love it!

A travel system...

A baby carrier (if you plan on baby wearing)...

I used a wrap when she was younger, but an Ergo when she got older...

I love, love, love my Ergo!!!

And once the baby is able to hold themselves up, an exersaucer is a must have....

total lifesaver!!

And if you plan on breastfeeding there is a whole bunch more that you will need, but I'll make a separate post for that :)

Snow Fun

Well Riley and I couldn't play in the snow yesterday since I didn't have a snowsuit for her, so I decided to make up for it today.  After work, I picked Riley up and we ran to Target to get the girl some snow pants.  We rushed home and played outside....and we had SO MUCH FUN!  We couldn't let all of this beautiful snow go to waste :)

We ended the night cuddling on the couch watching Cinderella....perfect night.

Snow Day

What better way to start a Monday than with a snow day??

We were pleasantly surprised when we woke up to all of this snow...and a cancellation from school!  Yippeee!  I got to spend all day with this sweet girl.  Unfortunately I still hadn't bought Riley a snowsuit yet so we couldn't go outside and play, but we still had a fun day indoors.  We even did mother/daughter matching pedis!

Look at those pink piggies!!! Oh the joys of being a girl mom :)

First Post

After years of debating on starting my own blog, I finally decided to take the plunge.... I am very excited about this and cannot wait to post about life's everyday adventures as a wife, momma, friend, sister and daughter.  I am just an ordinary girl with an ordinary family, but I love my life more than anything and wouldn't trade it for the world!!  I hope to look back on this blog in years to come to laugh, cry and smile from ear to ear! :)
